As of November, 15, 1993, the project program has expended $32,437 of the $45,085.55 budget, or 72%. This work has included a field survey of the street and original utility alignments, title work on the Pohl and Kay properties, geotechnical, wetlands evaluation work, and preparation of a technical memorandum reviewing the various alignment alternatives. With the selection of alignment #3, the following work items must be completed: 1. Additional survey along the east side of Dr. Kay's lot and on the easterly upland alignment across the Pohl property 2. Private property contacts, negotiations, and easement preparation 3. PROJECT MANAGEMENT This task is allocated to the periodic meetings with the City of Renton technical staff and intemal management efforts to implement the project. Budgetary control, and billing preparation is included in this work. B. ENG. EVALUATION AND PRELIMINARY DESIGN Review the proposed sanitary project capacity and alignment requirements. Review options on alignment, material usage and restoration work needed to secure acceptance by affected property owners. This task effort includes a public meeting with directly affected property owners. C SEPA Preparation of the Expanded Checklist as required by SEPA regulations of the City of Renton. Expected issues requiring special expanded discussion: protection of the existing stream, water quality enhancement from surface runoff from the existing roadway system, yard and landscape restoration, and efforts to avoid disruption of existing traffic movements on the adjacent public streets. D. SURVEY AND MAPPING Preparation of topographic, property and easement field survey, for the project area. Contours to be determined to Z increments, and existing landscape and stream features shall be located. E. LANDSCAPE RESTORATION Assist the City in contacting the adjacent and affected property owners along the proposed sewer alignment. Support the City in development of a landscape and stream restoration plan and temporary construction impacts for the work across private properties. This task envisions working closely with the home owners to secure their acceptance of the proposed project and assure the restoration of their yards and gardens. F. SEWER DESIGN Develop the final design of the sanitary sewer and associated work in the project corridor. Identify storm water and yard restoration options to assure acceptance by the affected property owners within the proposed project. G. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS Preparation of plans, specifications and cost opinions forth ' e proposed construction work for the new sanitary sewer construction project. All work to be in acordance with the City standard specifications, standard plans and in accordance with the WSDOT/APWA Standard Plans and Specifications. This task also includes the printing of 40 sets of specifications and 1/2 size plans for bidding purposes. H QA/QC Internal, independent review of the project preliminary design, and final plans, specifications and cost estimates. I. BIDDING ASSISTANCE Assist the City of Renton during the bidding period, responding to questions from contractors, and assisting the City in evaluation of the bid results. CONSTRUCTION ASSISTANCE Review of materials submittial, provide construction engineering services as requested by the City.
