Provide whatever measures necessary for cleanup and dust control during job and at night. All truck maneuvering and materials storage to be on -site only. Right of way to remain unobstructed when possible. 4. Haul legal loads. Keep a set of approved by the City drawings and construction documents on -site at all times. Contractors are advised to only use sets of drawings stamped and signed by the City of Renton for constructing utility and transportation improvements. The approved plans do not constitute a fill and grade permit or grant any rights to fill and/or grade outside of the right-of-way. Keep a set of approved drawings on -site at all times. 4. All utilities must be inspected prior to backfill. For any field changes: If minor, submit a shop drawing or schematic through the inspector or by FAX- 430-7241. If major, the project engineer should submit drawings and complete justification, information and calculations as applicable to the Plan Review project coordinator. MATERIAL SUBMITTALS 1. Contractor shall submit a min. of 2 ea. Material submittals for review and approval. SEWER 1. The telemetry panel is the only item to be salvaged from the lift station. 2. Final acceptance shall be after final walk through inspection, adjustment of all structures and approval of as-builts. 3. The contractor, as well as the engineer, shall keep as -built drawings. Show all inverts and elevations. All changes shall be shown on as-builts. As-builts shall be per City specifications. For any field changes, if minor, give City a shop drawing (by FAX- 430-7241); if major, need a day or two to review and approve. Field inspector can not give approval in field for construction changes. There were four bidders for the project. There was an irregularity in Laser Underground & Earthworks Inc. (a sales tax calculation error) that moved them from 3rd lowest bidder to 2"d lowest. The low bidder, Westwater Construction Company, has submitted a bid of $342,022.59 for the project. There were no errors in their bid. The average bid for the project was $362,916.54. The Engineer's Estimate was $325,822.27. The Wastewater Utility budget for this project is $400,000. The Wastewater Utility recommends that the construction contract be awarded to Westwater Construction Company. Please forward this matter to the City Council with our recommendation for approval.
