Re: Insufficiency of Signatures – City of Renton Initiative Measure No. 23-01
Dear Mr. Zazueta:
I am writing to inform you that based on the Insufficiency of Signatures letter I received from King
County Elections on July 24, 2023 (attached), I have determined that the petition is insufficient per the
requirements of Renton Municipal Code, Title 1, Section 1-2-2.
Per RCW 35.17.280: “If the signatures are found by the clerk to be insufficient the petition may be
amended in that respect within ten days from the date of certificate.”
I have determined that an amended petition may be submitted no later than August 4, 2023.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Jason A. Seth, MMC
