The consultants brought a wealth of expertise and experience in cultural placemaking, making them the ideal team for this significant undertaking. During the meeting, the Arts Commission engaged in a fruitful conversation with the consultants, exploring the goals and objectives of the master plan update. The consultants shared their comprehensive approach, emphasizing the importance of community involvement and the integration of diverse perspectives. The conversation revolved around the key areas to be addressed in the updated master plan, such as fostering inclusivity, expanding access to the arts, supporting local artists, and enhancing cultural infrastructure. The consultants highlighted the significance of creating a dynamic and sustainable arts ecosystem that reflects the unique identity of Renton. The Arts Commission expressed enthusiasm for the consultants' vision and strategies, acknowledging the need for an updated master plan to align with the evolving needs and aspirations of the community. Note: Due to the absence of a quorum, no official actions were taken during the Arts Commission meeting. The discussion with the consultants from Framework Cultural Placemaking regarding the update to the 10- year arts and culture master plan proceeded as planned, providing valuable insights and generating enthusiasm among the commission members.
