1. ALL WORK AND MATERIALS SHALL BE IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE STANDARDS AND
SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CITY OF RENTON UTILITY DEPARTMENT AND THE LATEST
EDITION OF THE APWA STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
2. ALL LOCATIONS OF EXISTING UTILITIES SHOWN ARE APPROXIMATE AND IT SHALL
BE THE CONTRACTORtS RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY THE TRUE AND CORRECT
LOCATION SO AS TO AVOID DAMAGE OR DISTURBANCE.
3. ALL PIPE SHALL BE RUBBER GASKETED AND MAY BE CONCRETE CONFORMING TO
ASTM SPECIFICATIONS C14 CLASS 3 OR PVC CONFORMING TO ASTM
SPECIFICATIONS D 3034.
4. MANHOLES SHALL CONFORM TO APWA SPECIFICATIONS, SECTION 63. MANHOLES
SHALL BE APWA STANDARD P' AN' "'n 'z4 FOR MANHOLES S FEET AND GREATER
FROM TOP TO INVERT AND ciT`( cF KENTDN -rv-rA&4mKcwp FOR MANHOLE LESS THAN
S FEET FROM TOP TO INVERT.
5. CAST IRON FRAME AND COVERS FOR SANITARY SEWER MANHOLES SHALL CONFORM
TO APWA SPECIFICATIONS SECTION 63-2.08 AND STANDARD DRAWING NO. 42.
6. BEDDING FOR CONCRETE PIPE SHALL BE CLASS "B" PER APWA STANDARD PLAN
NO. 62 (PEA GRAVEL FROM toll BELOW PIPE TO SPRINGLINE, TRENCH WIDTH 40"
MINIMUM, OR 1-1/2 TIMES PIPE DIAMETER PLUS 18" WHICHEVER IS GREATER).
(BACKFILL SHALL BE PLACED IN 6" LAYERS COMPACTED TO 95% OF MAXIMUM
DENSITY.) FOR PVC PIPE THE BEDDING SHALL BE CARRIED TO 6" ABOVE TOP OF
PIPE, IN 6" LAYERS, INDIVIDUALLY COMPACTED.
