BEFORE ANY CONSTRUCTION/DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY OCCURS. A PRE -CONSTRUCTION MEETING MUST BE HELD WITH THE DEPARTMENT'S DEVELOPMENT INSPECTION UNIT. 2. All construction shall be in accordance with King County Specifications (including King County Road Standards 1987). 3. The storm drainage system shalt be constructed according to the approved plans which are on file in the Department's Central Records. Any deviation from the approved plans will require written approval from the Department. 4. A copy of these approved plans must be on the job site whenever construction is in progress. 5. Datum must be K.C.A.S. unless otherwise approved by the Department. 6. A requirement which must be met before beginning construction is to provide proof of the liability policy required by King County Code 9.04.100(D) to the Department's Development inspection Unit. 7. King County Code 12.88 requires that construift}on noise only occur between 7 am and 10 pm on weekdays and 9 am and 10 pm on weekends. 8. All sedimentation/erosion facilities must be in operation prior to clearing and building construction, and they must be satisfactorily maintained untilconstruction onstruction is completed a t potential for on site omp eted and he po ent erosion has passed. 9. All retention/detention facilities must be installed and in operation prior to or in conjunction with all construction activity unless otherwise approved by the Department. 10. At( disturbed areas shalt be seeded and mulched or otherwise stabilized to the satisfaction of the Department for the prevention of on -site erosion after the completion of construction. 11. Grass shalt be established by hydroseeding or as otherwise approved by the Department. The performance bond will not be released until the grass has been established, unless otherwise approved by the Department. 12. All pipe and appurtenances shall be laid on a properly prepared foundation in accordance with Section 7-02.30) of the current State of Washington Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. This shalt include necessary leveling of the trench bottom or the top of the foundatill material as well as placement and compaction of required bedding material to uniform grade so that the entire length of the pipe will be supported on a uniformly dense unyielding base. if the native material in the bottom of the trench meets the requirements for "Gravel Backil ll for Pipe Bedding" the first lift of pipe bedding may be omitted provided the material in the bottom of the trench is loosened, regraded and compacted to form a dense unyielding base. 13. Galvanized steel pipe utilized as detention facilities shall have asphalt treatment Ni or better inside and outside. 15. Structures shall not be permitted within 10 feet of the spring line of any storm drainage pipe, or 15 feet from the top of any channel bank. 16. Catch basin grates installed on County right-of-way shall conform to standard drawings 41 or 47 which includes the stamping "Outfatl to Stream, Dump No Pollutants" and "Property of King County". 17. Plans showing all underground utilities must be provided to the Departments's Development Inspection Unit. Plans for water and sanitary sewers must be provided prior to the pre -construction meeting. Plans for all other utilities must be provided prior to the installation of road base course materials and must show the location of the measures which will be taken to prevent soil erosion and sedimentation. 18. Open cuts thru existing public right-of-way wilt not be altowed unless specificly approved by King County Public Works. 19. All metal driveway culverts within County right-of-way must have concrete or masonry headwalls designed to be accepted by the Deparment. 20. Rock for erosion protection of roadway ditches, where required, must be of sound quarry rock, placed to a depth of i foot and mast ---et the _ following specifications: 4'1-811 /40X-70X passing; 211 411 rock/30X-40X passing; and -2" rock/10%-20% passing. 21. All building downspouts and footing drains shalt be connected to the storm drainage system, unless approved by the Department. 22. Issuance of this Building Permit by King County does not relieve the owner of this continuing legal obligation and/or liability connected with storm and surface water disposition and further, King County does not accept any obligation for the proper functioning and maintenance of the system provided. 23. Compaction of subgrades for all commercial developement parking lots and roadways shall comply with compaction requirements for King County maintained roadways. The subgrades under all areas to be paved shall be firm and unyielding, and compacted to 95% of the maximum density (per Standard Proctor Test). Proof rolling prior to paving is required to insure stability. 24. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing adequate safeguards, safety devices, protective equipment, flaggers, and any other needed actions to protect the life, health, and safety of the public, and to protect property in connection with the performance of work covered by the contract. Any work within the traveled right-of-way that may interrupt normal traffic flow shall require at least one flagger for each lane of traffic affected. All sections of the W.S.D.O.T.
