GENERAL NARRATIVE
1. APPROXIMATELY 26,660 CUBIC YARDS OF CONSTRUCTION FILL WILL BE IMPORTED TO THE SITE. SOURCE
OF FILL MATERIAL HAS NOT YET BEEN DETERMINED. SURCHARGE FILL WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL 11,380
CUBIC YARDS.
2. HOURS OF OPERATION WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
WEEKDAYS"ks- 9:00 AM TO 3:30 PM
6:00 PM TO 10:00 PM
SATURDAYS - 8:00 AM To 6:00 PM
SUNDAYS - NO OPERATION ALLOWED
3, ROUTE FOR MATERIAL IMPORT IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME. CITY APPROVAL WILL BE OBTAINED UPON
DETERMINATION OF SOURCE FOR MATERIALS.
4, MEASURES TO CONTROL DUST:
APPLICATION OF WATER BY TRUCK.
MEASURES TO CONTROL MUD:
CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE OF QUARRY SPALLS AND STREET CLEANING AS REQUIRED.
MEASURES TO CONTROL NOISE:

AS REQUIRED BY GOVERNING AGENCIES.
5. FILL MATERIALS WILL BE AS APPROVED BY A SOILS ENGINEER AND PLACED ACCORDING TO HIS
SPECIFICATIONS.
GENERAL NOTES
1. REMOVE ANY FILL WITHIN THE DRIP LINE OF TREES TO BE SAVED.
2. HAUL ROUTES AND HOURS OF OPERATION TO BE PROVIDED BY THE CONTRACTOR IN WRITING TO THE CITY
OF RENTON PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AND CITY OF RENTON POLICE DEPARTMENT.
3. HYDRO -SEED WITH RYE GRASS ANY AREA WHICH HAS BEEN STRIPPED OF VEGETATION AND WHERE NO
FURTHER WORK IS ANTICIPATED FOR A PERIOD OF THIRTY DAYS OR MORE.
4. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE WHEEL WASHING FACILITY AS APPROVED BY THE CITY OF RENTON.
5. TOPSOIL TO BE USED IN FINAL DEVELOPMENT WILL BE STOCK -PILED ON THE SITE IN MOUNDS WITH NO
STEEPER THAN 2:1 SIDE SLOPES AND PLANTED WITH EROSION RESISTANT GRASS.
6. FILL TO BE PLACED AND COMPACTED PER RECOMMENDATIONS OF GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING STUDY FOR
BLACKRIVER CORPORATE PARK, PHASE V BY EARTH CONSULTANTS, INC., DATED APRIL 14, 1988.
EROSION/SEDIMENTATION CONTROL
1. PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN TEMPORARY SEDIMENTATION COLLECTION FACILITIES TO INSURE SEDIMENT LADEN
WATER DOES NOT ENTER THE NATURAL DRAINAGE SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM MUST BE IN OPERATION PRIOR TO
CLEARING OR OTHER CONSTRUCTION AND BE MAINTAINED UNTIL GRADING IS COMPLETE AND POTENTIAL FOR
ON -SITE EROSION HAS PASSED. THE SILTATION CONTROL SYSTEMS DEPICTED ON THE PLAN ARE SUCH AS
TO MEET MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS. AS GRADING PROGRESSES AND UNEXPECTED (SEASONAL) CONDITIONS
DICTATE, MORE SILTATION CONTROL FACILITIES MAY BE REQUIRED TO INSURE COMPLETE SILTATION
CONTROL. THEREFORE, DURING THE GRADING OPERATION, IT SHALL BE THE OBLIGATION AND
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DEVELOPER TO ADDRESS ANY NEW CONDITIONS THAT MAY BE CREATED BY HIS
ACTIVITIES AND TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FACILITIES, OVER AND ABOVE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, AS MAY
BE NEEDED TO PROTECT ADJACENT PROPERTIES.
2. ALL DISTURBED AREAS SHALL BE SEEDED OR STABILIZED BY OTHER SURFACE WATER MANAGEMENT METHODS
FOR THE PREVENTION OF ON -SITE EROSION AFTER THE COMPLETION OF GRADING OR WITHIN SIXTY DAYS
OF ESTABLISHMENT OF DESIGN GRADES.
3. ROCK CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE SHALL BE 20 FEET WIDE BY 50 FEET LONG BY 12 INCHES THICK MAT OF
QUARRY SPALLS.
4. INSTALL SILT FENCE ALONG PROPERTY LINES (AS SHOWN ON PLAN) AND AS REQUIRED TO PROTECT
NATURAL DRAINAGE COURSES AND ADJACENT PROPERTY FROM SILT LADEN WATER DURING GRADING
OPERATION.
