1. SUBGRADE PREPARATION SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SECTION 2-06 OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS AND
SPECIAL PROVISIONS.
2. ADDITIONAL FILL MATERIAL REQUIRED FOR CONSTRUCTION
SHALL BE APPROVED GRAVEL BORROW, UNLESS NOTED
OTHERWISE IN THE PLANS OR SPECIAL PROVISIONS. FILL
MATERIAL SHALL BE COMPACTED TO 95% MODIFIED
PROCTOR DENSITY.
3. EMBANKMENTS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED PER SECTION
2-03 OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS.
4. IF UNSUITABLE FOUNDATION IS ENCOUNTERED, SEE
DETAIL, SHEET 26.
5. WHERE EXISTING EDGE OF PAVEMENT IS LESS THAN 2'
FROM PROPOSED GUTTER PAN, CONTRACTOR SHALL
SAWCUT AND REMOVE PAVEMENT AS REQUIRED TO
PROVIDE 2' MINIMUM CLEARANCE.
6. ACCESS TO ADJACENT PROPERTY MUST BE MAINTAINED
AT ALL TIMES UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN
MADE AND APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER.
7. REMOVE EXISTING CURB, GUTTER, AND SIDEWALK WHERE
INDICATED ON THE PLANS.
8. CONCRETE ROADWAY PANELS WITH VARYING THICKNESS
EXIST BELOW THE WEARING SURFACE. CONTRACTOR
SHALL SAWCUT AND REMOVE EXISTING CONCRETE
