CONSTRUCTION NOTES
1. EXISTING UNDERGROUND UTILITIES TO BE CONVERTED TO NEW UNDERGROUND
ALIGNMENT TO THE LIMITS SHOWN. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY
COORDINATION, LAYOUT, SURVEYING, TRENCHING, EXCAVATION, BEDDING, BACKFILL
AND RESTORATION FOR THE FRANCHISE UTILITIES TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE
THE CONVERSION. THE LAYOUT SHOWN IS APPROXIMATE AND A COMPILATION OF'
THE DESIGNS BY PSE, COMCAST, CENTURYLINK, :AND CITY OF RENTON. SEE
FRANCHISE UTILITY PLANS (VOLUME 4 OF 4) FOR DESIGNS BY PSE POWER, PSE
GAS, COMCAST, AND CENTURYLINK.
2. THE JOINT TRENCH LAYOUT, SWEEPS, VAULTS AND OTHER FEATURES SHOWN ARE
APPROXIMATE. ADJUST AS NECESSARY TO MEET FRANCHISE UTILITY
REQUIREMENTS AND TO PROVIDE A COMPLETE, FUNCTIONING SYSTEM. ALL
CONDUIT MATERIALS, BENDS, VAULTS, AND OTHER MATERIALS INSTAI_I_ED BY TH��
CONTRACTOR SHALL BE PER THE REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFIP%CA TIONS OF THE
FRANCHISE UTILITIES.
3. PSE WILL FURNISH ALL VAULTS AND CONDUITS REQUIRED FOR THEIR ELECTRICAL
CONVERSION. PSE WILL FURNISH ALL CASING CONDUIT REQUIRED FOR THEIR GAS
CONVERSION.
4. THE CONTRACTOR WILL FURNISH AND INSTALL ALL VAULTS AND CONDUITS FOR

UTILITY REQUIREMENTS. SEE THE APPROXIMATE JOINT UTILITY TRENCH PROFILE TO
AID IN THE LAYOUT OF THE TRENCH, SHEETS 180-192,
9. CONTRACTOR SHALL SEQUENCE WORK TO ALLOW CONTINUED OPERATION OF ALL
EXISTING UTILITIES UNTIL NEW SYSTEM IS COMPLETE. ONCE NEW SYSTEM IS
COMPLETED, TESTED, APPROVED BY UTILITY OWNERS AND FULLY OPERATIONAL,
CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE EXISTING CONDUIT DUCT DANK AND EXISTING UTILITY
STRUCTURES NO LONGER IN USE.
10 INCLUDE ILLUMINATION AND SIGNAL CONDUIT IN JOINT TRENCH WHERE. POSSIBLE.
SEE ILLUMINATION AND SIGNAL PLANS FOR CITY OF RENTON POWER AND FIBER
DESIGN.
11. CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL CENTURYLINK OVERSET VAULTS.
12. CONTRACTOR SHALL PRESERVE AND PROTECT ALL FACILITIES TO REMAIN.
