HomeMy WebLinkAboutCO 05C.O. #5 CITY OF RENTON Page 1 of 1 Public Works Department CHANGE ORDER NO. 5 CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER AGREEMENT CONTRACT: South Lake WA Roadway Improvements (Garden Ave. Widening) CAG -12 -021 CONTRACTOR: ICON Materials SUMMARY OF PROPOSED CHANGE: Reason /Justification: This change was initiated due to the lack of working /pedestrian space in Stage 1A and the need to construct a pedestrian access route throught Boeing property in the NW corner of Lake WA Blvd. /Logan Ave. N. intersection. Contract Change: This no -cost change is for additional working days only in accordance with September 21, 2012 letter from ICON Materials. The Contractor's labor, equipment and material to construct and maintain this route has been tracked and paid via force account. No extra field overhead will be compensated for with this change order. This approach will continue until the pedestrian route is no longer needed and is dismantled. An additional 5 working days will be added to the Contract for this change for time spent constructing and maintaining the route (through September 21, 2012) and extra time spent on demo of Stage 1A west due to having the work out of sequence (in reverse order of planned demolition), in addition to a lost shift on 6/13/12 due to lack of working space in the NW corner. Additional working days may be requested. Working Days: 5 Additional Working Days are Granted to complete this work All work, materials and measurement to be in accordance with the provisions of the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions for the type of construction involved.
