Description of Work
Design of pedestrian facilities to improve connectivity between the Highlands neighborhood and the Landing
shopping area/Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park. This supplement builds on the preliminary and final design
work done under the original agreement and Supplement 1 by providing design support services during
construction.
The Local Agency of City of Renton
desires to supplement the agreement entered into with Otak,Inc.
and executed on 3/23/2011 and identified as Agreement No. CAG-11-043
All provisions in the basic agreement remain in effect except as expressly modified by this supplement.
The changes to the agreement are described as follows:
Section 1, SCOPE OF WORK, is hereby changed to read:
Work as described in Exhibit A-1_ dated 2/7/2(114

Section IV, TIME FOR BEGINNING AND COMPLETION, is amended to change the number of calendar days for
completion of the work to read: December 31, 2016

Exhibit A- I Scope of Work
Supplement No. 2
The City of Renton is providing construction management and inspection separately from the
contract with Otak. The following scope of work covers design support during construction. The
project is estimated to begin construction in March 2014,with completion in August or September
2014, based on 80 working days allotted by the construction documents. The project is partially
funded by FHWA funds administered by WSDOT Highway &Local Programs (H&LP).
The following scope generally describes the work anticipated as it is understood at this time. The
nature of design services during construction is unpredictable,relying on the performance of the
contractor and the direction of the City.As such, these services will be provided on a time and
materials basis, as directed by the City. The contract amount will not be exceeded without prior City
approval
16.0 Project Management
Otak will manage contract issues, and meet periodically with the City project manager and City staff.
Otak's project manager will provide direction to the project team,including subconsultants on an as
needed basis. Otak will keep the City appraised of budget status monthly, and can provide interim
budget status whenever requested. Otak will prepare and submit monthly invoices and a brief
progress report to reflect progress over the last billing period and anticipated activities over the next
billing period.
17.0 Design Services during Construction
• Review of Contractor submittals as requested. It is assumed that most submittals will be
reviewed by the City's construction management consultant.
• Review of shop drawings
• Evaluation of change proposals
• Responding to questions from the City and Contractor
• Attend the pre-bid meeting,preconstruction conference,bridge demolition preconstruction
meeting, and progress meetings as requested. This scope assumes attendance at fifteen (15)
meetings.
• Make site visits typically in conjunction with meetings. This scope assumes six (6) site visits.
• Respond to RFI's. This scope assumes twelve (12) RFI's.
• Revise design in response to City requests.

18.0 As-Constructed Record Drawings
Based upon red-lines and electronic data provided by the Contractor and Inspector, Otak will
prepare as-constructed record drawings in CAD format for the City, delivering the original CAD
files without signature, and a signed hardcopy on white bond.

EXHIBIT A - SCOPE OF WORK
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This scope reflects tasks and budget necessary to provide construction support for the City of Renton
Highlands to Landing Pedestrian Connection project.
TENW DESIGN SCOPE OF SERVICES
1. Meeting Attendance: TENW will attend the project pre-construction meeting,weekly coordination
meetings, and field visits. Five meetings/visits are assumed.
2. Response to BFI's and Revision Sketches: TENW will provide RFI responses and revision
sketches in support of contractor questions as necessary. This task assumes up to five BFI's and
includes coordination with WSDOT as needed.
3. Submittal and Shop Drawing review: TENW will review and comment/approve Traffic
Signal/electrical submittals and shop drawings.
4. As-constructed Record Drawings: Based upon red-lines and electronic data provided by the
Contractor and Inspector, Otak will prepare as-constructed record drawings in CAD format for the
City, delivering the original CAD files without signature in pdf format to Otak.
ASSUMPTIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
• Daily construction inspection services associated with TENW documents will be provided by
others (City).
