12. Amendment Purpose:
The purpose of this amendment is extend the project completion date for the 2009-2011 Urban Vitality Grant
Number: UV09-951-097.
The Board, defined as the Washington State Public Works Board, and Grantee acknowledge and accept the
terms of this Grant As Amended and have executed this Grant Amendment on the date below to start as of the
date and year referenced above. The rights and obligations of both parties to this Grant As Amended are
governed by this Grant Amendment and the following other documents incorporated by reference: Amendment
Terms and Conditions. A copy of this Grant Amendment shall be attached to and made a part of the original
Grant between the Board and the Grantee. Any reference in the original Grant to the"Agreement' or the "Grant"
shall mean the "Agreement As Amended"or"Grant As Amended," respectively.

AMENDMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PUBLIC WORKS BOARD
2009-2011 WASHINGTON STATE CAPITAL BUDGET DIRECT-APPROPRIATION
Urban Vitality Grant Program
The purpose of this amendment is to amend the Time of Performance Section for the 2009-2011 Washington
State Capital Budget Urban Vitality Grant Contract: UV09-951-097.
This amendment was approved by the Public Works Board, a department of the State of Washington,
(hereinafter referred to as the"Board"). The Board found the extension was necessary for the following reason:
The project was delayed due to right-of-way acquisition taking longer
than expected.
The Board and City of Renton(hereinafter referred to as the"Grantee")agree to amend the 2009-2011
Washington State Capital Budget Urban Vitality Grant Contract: UV09-951-097 as described below:
The Time of Performance Section of Grant Number UV09-951-097 is amended to delete the original section and
replace it with the following:
The Grantee shall begin the activities identified within Attachment L• Scope of Work no later than three
(3)months after Grant agreement/contract execution, and reach project completion no later than
12/25/2013.
Failure to perform within the time frame described in the preceding paragraph may constitute default of
this agreement/contract. In the event of extenuating circumstances,the Grantee may request, in writing,
that the Board extend the deadline for project completion. The Board may,by a two-thirds vote,extend
the deadline.
The term of this Grant agreement/contract shall be for the entire term of the grant, irrespective of actual
project completion,unless terminated sooner as provided herein.
