RENTON HEARING EXAMINER
RENTON, WASHINGTON
A virtual/telephonic public hearing will be held by the Renton Hearing Examiner on September 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM by
means of the Zoom video conferencing web application to consider the following petition:
Rainier Ave S Corridor Improvements: Phase 4
LUA23-000241, V-H
Location: Rainier Ave S from S 3rd St to NW 3rd Pl; The City of Renton Transportation Division is requesting a noise
variance from RMC 8-7-2 to work during night and weekend hours beyond the days and hours permitted by code to
complete roadway construction. The purpose of the corridor improvements is to improve transit mobility, pedestrian
accessibility, and safety. The project includes intersection improvements, extension of the southbound BAT Lane,
construction of a segment of the Lake Washington Loop Trail, installation of pedestrian activated traffic signals, sidewalk
widening with streetscaping, and improvements to city water and wastewater systems.
