HUMAN SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE

CALL TO ORDER
The Human Services Advisory Committee (HSAC) meeting for June 20, 2023 was
called to order at 3:04 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Approval of April 18, 2023 Human Services Advisory Committee Meeting minutes.
Moved by Member Anderson, seconded by Member Friedmann.
MOTION CARRIED.
AUDIENCE COMMENT
No audience comments.
NEW BUSINESS
Maryjane Van Cleave, EHHS Administrator, discussed HSAC's role and vision for the next
funding cycle. Explained the importance of focusing on a smaller number of human services
agencies to provide a greater amount of funding to. EHHS will prepare a quarterly report of
the city funded human services agencies for HSAC to review in future meetings.
Claire Wilkinson, Community Engagement Leader, provided a brief overview and history of
Renton’s Neighborhood Program. Claire also discussed upcoming Neighborhood BBQ events
that community members could attend.
Mark Baldridge, Housing Repair Coordinator, presented Renton’s Housing Repair Assistance
Program. Mark discussed the application process, qualification requirements, and types of
repairs the program covers.
Guy Williams, Human Services Manager, discussed HSAC's Summer meeting schedule. HSAC
agreed to keep the current schedule as is unless there were enough members that could not
attend.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:41 p.m.
The July 18, 2023 Human Services Advisory Committee meeting is canceled.
