City of Renton Seeks Candidates for the Renton Airport Advisory Committee
RENTON, WA -- The City of Renton is seeking candidates for positions on the Renton Airport Advisory
Committee (RAAC). New RAAC members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City
Council to serve a three-year term. Members serve without compensation and must reside within the
city limits of Renton.
The purpose of RAAC is to provide a forum for members of the community to discuss issues related to
the airport directly with airport operators and to seek collaborative problem solving and resolution.
The committee meets quarterly on the second Tuesday of the month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the
Renton Municipal Airport. Individuals applying for neighborhood positions must not have an aviation
background.
The RAAC currently has three vacant positions representing the following neighborhoods:
Kennydale
South Renton
West Hill
To apply for the Renton Airport Advisory Committee membership, please complete an application.
Applications are also available on the Boards and Commissions page on the city’s website, by calling
425-430-7471, or in-person at Renton City Hall, 7th Floor in the Mayor’s Office. Applications review
will begin on May 22, but they are always accepted on an on-going basis. For more information about
