Title: City of Renton RFQ: Recycling & Organics Technical Assistance to Businesses
The City of Renton is soliciting qualification submittals from individuals or firms experienced in providing
tailored waste prevention technical assistance to businesses. The selected individual/firm will assist
businesses in the cities of Renton and Kent by right-sizing their waste service levels and providing
culturally competent waste prevention education to staff in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. The
estimated contract value is $225,000. The complete RFQ—including project details, consultant
qualifications, and a contract template—is on the City of Renton’s Call for Bids, Proposals, Qualifications
webpage.
Interested individuals/firms must submit their qualifications to mheubach@rentonwa.gov by 8 a.m. on

Qualified individuals/firms must have
•Experience providing waste prevention technical assistance to a variety of businesses,
•Staff who are fluent in Spanish and Vietnamese OR can subcontract with staff who speak these
languages, and
•Staff who can do in-person site visits to businesses in Renton or Kent OR subcontract with staff
who can make these visits in-person.
