HomeMy WebLinkAboutRFP Details - Real Estate ServicesCity of Renton Request for Qualifications Real Estate Services for Residential Property – Submittal Deadline: November 17, 2023 OVERVIEW On behalf of the Renton Police Department, the City of Renton is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for an experienced and innovative real estate agent or agency (collectively “agent” herein) to provide marketing and related services to sell the residential property located at 15908 SE 175th Street, Renton, WA 98058. The City of Renton is taking ownership of the home due to a settlement agreement pursuant to CR 2(A). The property sale proceeds will be distributed per an agreement with the prior owner, which will be provided during escrow. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Market the residential property to achieve the sale of the property with the largest benefit to the City. 2. Provide support services during escrow and closing to ensure all expectations and deadlines are met. STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS It is the City’s intent to select an agent based on qualifications, recent home sales within the region, and demonstrated ability to complete the Scope of Work. Once the City has reviewed the qualifications, one or more agents may be requested to provide additional information and/or participate in an interview process. SOQs are due by November 17, 2023. The City will evaluate the SOQ’s and select the most qualified agent to proceed with next step in the selection process. The final selection will be made by City staff, based on the written SOQ and interview as determined necessary by the City. Applicants are to limit their response to no more than ten (10) pages total, excluding cover letter. SUBMITTAL DEADLINE The City must receive Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) by November 17, 2023. Any proposal responding to this SOQ should include the following: 1. Letter of Interest 2. Company profile a. Name of the business, contact person, and contact information: Provide address, telephone, mobile telephone number, e-mail address, and web address, as applicable. b. Statement of business: Describe the type of business entity (sole proprietorship, corporation, LLC or other). 3. Experience and ability to perform this work a. Describe the approach you would undertake to successfully complete the tasks described in the Scope of Work. b. Provide examples and track record of similar residential home sales. c. If you will be working as part of a team, briefly provide an overview of the team. 4. Timeline Provide an approximate timeline to show the steps from contract to selling the house based on recent experience. 5. Pricing Provide a schedule of fees for all relevant, known, or expected services related to the property. SELECTION CRITERIA AND PROCESS A selection committee composed of City staff will review all submitted proposals. The selection committee will determine a finalist short list (preliminary review; no less than three teams) and determine if an interview to present its proposal to the selection committee is necessary. The committee will select a top candidate for final selection. Top candidate selection will be based upon the following criteria: a. Experience of the agent on residential home sales in similar market communities; b. Proposed project approach and timeline; c. Completeness of the response. TIMELINE SOQ Deadline November 17, 2023 SOQ Review Complete and Interviews (as required) November 20 – 22, 2023 Selection of Agent November 27, 2023 TERMS AND CONDITIONS • All materials and images developed during this project will become the property of the City and are considered public records and subject to public disclosure under Public Records Act (RCW 4256). • The City reserves the right to reject any and all submittals, and to waive minor irregularities in any submittals. • The City reserves the right to request clarification of information submitted, to request additional information from respondents, and to request interviews with respondents. • Any proposal may be withdrawn until the date and time set above for submittal of proposals. Any proposal not so timely withdrawn shall constitute an irrevocable offer, for a period of 90 days, for the services described in the SOQ, or until one of more of the proposals have been approved by the City, whichever occurs first. • The City shall not be responsible for any costs incurred by the agent in preparing, submitting, or presenting its response to this SOQ.
