Renton, WA, 98057 CONSTRUCTION START DATE: October 2023 PRIMARY TASK SCOPE OF WORK: DEMOLITION OF BUILDING at 300 Rainier Avenue North, Renton, WA, 98057 1. Contractor shall provide all permits, labor, materials and equipment to abate and demolish one (1) building. Note abatement is required per a ‘Limited Asbestos and Lead Survey’ by Pacific Rim Environmental date 9/27/22. Additional tasks are listed below: x Obtain demolition and all other permits and authorizations as required for Work. x Provide project administration, permitting and regulatory approvals, design and engineering, abatement, demolition work and all other services and Work associated with the project. x Locate all existing utilities. Identify site elements and utilities to be terminated as necessary to perform demolition. Review with City prior to commencing Work.         Page 2 of 4 x Coordinate with utility providers and City of Renton to disconnect and cap all utilities to the sidewalk or other appropriate points of connection as directed by utility. This may include, but not be limited to, power, water, sewer, phone and/or natural gas. Any existing irrigation lines cut or damaged during the course of the work shall be repaired. x Provide water connection, hydrant permit if needed, to control dust. x Abate, demolish and remove building structures, foundations and concrete slabs. x Demolish and remove other concrete throughout the job location up to by not including parking lot and sidewalk in right or way; x Fill and grade all demolished areas with clean fill as necessary to avoid subsidence and 6” of topsoil proof rolled to conform to existing surrounding site topography and to avoid holes and uneven surfaces. Hydroseed by others upon completion. x Assume all fluorescent light fixtures contain PCB ballasts and will require appropriate handling and disposal. CONTROLLING DOCUMENT ‘Limited Asbestos and Lead Survey’ by Pacific Rim Environmental – Date 9/27/22 ALLOWANCES Bids shall include the following allowances: 1. Allowance for fill – Allow for 250 Yards – Provide Unit and Total Cost including transport and install. Contractor shall provide documentation of all material imported 2. Allowance for top soil – Allow for 5 Loads – Provide Unit and Total Cost including transport and install. Contractor shall provide documentation of all material imported. x This project is subject to PREVAILING WAGE. Bidder/Contractor will be required to comply with the State prevailing wage requirements. The Contractor and subcontractors must file an Intent to Pay Prevailing Wage at the beginning of the project and an Affidavit of Wages Paid at the end of the project with the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. Each payment applications shall include certified payroll for contractor and all subcontractors. SPECIFICATIONS 1. Bidder/Contractor are encouraged to attend walkthrough at Job Location on Wednesday, September 20. 2023 at 9:00 a.m.         Page 3 of 4 2. Bidder/Contractor responsible to complete entire scope of work per this proposal and other relevant project information, including the work required by the attached ‘Good Faith Survey’ by Pacific Rim Environmental dated 9/27/22 3. Bidder/Contractor is responsible for knowing and complying with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, Federal, state and local requirements, pertaining to legal disposal of all construction and demolition waste materials. Contractor shall comply with King County Ordinance 18166 codified in King County Code Chapter 10.30 Construction and Demolition Waste. 4. All materials, supplies and equipment used by the Contractor shall be suitable for the job, and not be harmful to any surfaces on which they are used. 5. Any damage to property outside the scope of this project will be repaired and restored to original condition by the Bidder/Contractor, at no cost to the City. 6. Bidder/Contractor responsible for the security of the project site for the duration of the project. 7. Bidder/Contractor shall perform work during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work performed outside of that timeframe will need to be coordinated in advance and mutually agreed upon between owner and contractor. Note that no work on Sunday is permitted. 8. Bidder/Contractor may provide references with proposal submittal. If none are provided that will not affect the status of the submittal. As the City begins reviewing submittals they may ask Bidder/Contractor for references. 9. Bidder/Contractor awarded the job should be prepared to complete all work associated with the contract prior to December 31, 2023. 10. The City will utilize its standard small works contract for this project. Sample attached. 11. Bidder/Contractor shall provide a bid with the individual cost for each task listed below AND a grand total:         Page 4 of 4 a. Primary Task (1) = Demolition of building at 300 Rainier Ave N b.
