Listed below are the alternatives that we looked at that were not feasible or reasonable. 1. Relocate the driveway: There is no way possible to relocate the driveway based on the location of the tree 2. Metal Plates over the roots: This would not work as it would cause a safety hazard when its raining and/or freezing 3. Removing the roots that are causing severe irreparable damage to the tree would kill the tree and create a fall hazard to potential hit 3 houses 4. Taking out the driveway would cause the loss of access to the garage. We have looked at all the possible alternatives and we could not find any that are feasible. We want to keep the home/driveway in the similar state that we purchased the property that has an asphalt driveway. Let me know if you need any other information.
