MINUTES
HUMAN SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE
3:00 PM - Tuesday, October 17, 2023

CALL TO ORDER
The Human Services Advisory Committee (HSAC) meeting for October 17, 2023 was called to
order at 3:04 p.m.

Approval of September 19, 2023 Human Services Advisory Committee meeting minutes.

October 17, 2023 Human Services Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes
AUDIENCE COMMENT
No audience comments.
NEW BUSINESS
Fawn Perkowsky, Senior Program and Operations Director for Communities in Schools of
Greater King County, provided a presentation about the Integrated Student Support program
which is currently funded by Renton.
Lori Fleming, Human Services Coordinator, provided an update on the 2025-2026 Human
Services Application Process. Key dates include:
• Application opens March 4th, 2024
• Renton to hold 2 technical assistance sessions - TBD
• Application closes April 8th, 2024
Guy Williams, Human Services Manager, advised HSAC of 2 member vacancies, one of which
is a youth position. Guy Williams also notified HSAC of the expiring terms. Vice Chair Hasty
indicated she is interested in being reappointed.
HSAC agreed to meet on November 21, 2023. The December 19, 2023 HSAC meeting has been
canceled.
Lori Fleming discussed upcoming events in Renton. Guy Williams updated HSAC about the
change of location to St. Anthony's Hall for the Emergency Cold Weather Shelter. REACH will
still be operating the overnight shelter.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 3:42 p.m.
The next Human Services Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November
21, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom or in person.
