I just submitted the following public comment (through the Land Use Public Comment Form on the COR website) regarding project LUA23-000381 at 1709 Index Ave NE. I didn’t get an auto-response
or anything notifying me that the comment was received in my email, so I’m doubling my efforts by sending you this email also. Please let me know if you need any additional information
from the school district.
Hello,
The school leadership at Meadow Crest Early Learning Center (ELC) are concerned about potential traffic impacts for this project at 1709 Index Ave NE. Meadow Crest ELC does not have
the benefit of school bus usage for some of the early learning programs that are offered at this facility. Because of that, Meadow Crest requires a parent pick-up/drop-off process
at four different time intervals throughout the day. Those intervals include:
9:45 – 10:05am
12:15 – 12:35pm
1:15 – 1:35pm
3:45- 4:05pm
We are requesting that the contractor for this project keep NE 16th Street and Index Ave NE clear of construction traffic, road closures, or obstructions during these times. Additionally,
we would like to request that construction site access and laydown areas be identified that do not impact Meadow Crest ELC from being able to freely access the ELC parking lot, pedestrian
access, and/or driveway entry points.
