HomeMy WebLinkAboutEX_02_PN_Dixon_Fence_Narrative_231026Property Address: 13133 SE 149th ST, Renton, WA Parcel #: 2223059078 Project Narrative The owner (James Dixon) of the property listed above desires to replace an existing 39” tall broken fence with a newer, taller fence, in the same location. The desired height to ensure that domestic animals (dogs) are contained is 60”. This is more than the allowed 48” fence height for a secondary front yard setback. The height of 60 inches is desired due to the slope of the property. The property adjacent to 133rd AVE SE is sloped near the mid-point of the fence, which renders the current fence height (~39”) unsuitable for containing dogs. (Please see attached pictures) The proposed fence will be constructed from cedar fencing material and painted/stained to be aesthetically appealing and coordinate with the color of the house and remaining fence. The additional height of the proposed fence will not provide any hazard to traffic. It will provide enhanced security and privacy for residents of the property, and reduce the likelihood of unintentional pet escapes. As a responsible citizen and pet owner, these changes will enhance community property value, security and safety. I recommend that it is in the interest of the City of Renton to approve submitted permit plans. See attached Neighborhood Map, Site Plan and Elevation rendering. Please contact with any further questions. Sincerely James Dixon 559-779-4565 jedixonjr@gmail.com DocuSign Envelope ID: 818AD452-34BB-4CFF-8B28-E706F55003DB
