Please note this regular meeting of the Renton Equity Commission is being offered as a hybrid
meeting and can be attended in person in the Council Chambers, Renton City Hall, 7th Floor, 1055
South Grady Way, Renton, 98057, or remotely via Zoom.
For those wishing to attend virtually: Please (1) follow this link

Public comment is permitted in person, virtually via the Zoom link above, or may also be submitted in
writing to hlmiller@rentonwa.gov before 4 p.m. on the day of the meeting. Those providing audience
comments will be limited to three (3) minutes each unless an exception is granted by the Commission.
Attendees will be muted and not audible to the Commission except during times they are designated
to speak.

MOVED BY BADDELEY, SECONDED BY IMAOKA TO EXCUSE VICE CHAIR DAVIS AND
COMMISSIONER PADHI FROM THE OCTOBER 10, 2023 REGULAR MEETING. CARRIED.
MAYOR'S COMMENTS
Mayor Pavone and Equity, Housing, and Human Services Administrator Maryjane Van Cleave
gave an overview of the city department reorganization proposal included as part of the mid-
biennium budget adjustment. They explained that if approved by Council, the oversight and
staff liaison(s) to the Commission would transfer to the Executive Services Department.
STAFF COMMENTS
Administrator Van Cleave invited the Commission to attend a Council-Commission meet and
greet scheduled for Monday, December 4 from 5:15-5:45 p.m. Following the meet and greet,
Commissioners are invited to attend the Committee of the Whole presentation which will
provide Council with an overview of the work the Commission has accomplished during 2023.

Administrative Assistant Moschetti-Newing explained she had just noticed an oversight on the
proposed 2024 meeting calendar resulting in inaccurate meeting dates. She will correct the
calendar and add it to the January meeting agenda.

EQUITY COMMISSION
Regular meetings of the Equity Commission are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 7th
floor of City Hall, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, 98057. Meetings are hybrid and may be attended in person or remotely through Zoom.
