OVERVIEW OF THEPLANKey Goals of Community Planning:1. Improve the livability of neighborhoods;2. Preserve unique identity and create community character;3. Prioritize the provision of City services and investment in infrastructure;4. Provide the public with the opportunity to participate in shaping the future of their community.

Purpose•To ensure the plan is implementedRole/Responsibility•Hold public meetings 4 – 6 times per year•Track progress – identify accomplishments, & milestones achieved.•Suggest priorities for goals, objectives & projects.•Recommend updates to the Plan•Report to CouncilPURPOSE ANDFUNCTION OF THEBOARD
GROUNDRULES FORADVISORYBOARD•All members of governing bodies must complete OPMA training within 90 days.•Robert’s Rules of Order•Notify the Chair/City staff of inability to attend
ADVISORYBOARDORDINANCE ANDBYLAWS•Minutes to be filed with the City Clerk;•All Board meetings are open public meetings.•Board shall establish regular dates and times for meetings.
COMMUNICATIONSExternal Communication:•Individuals represent themselves, not the BoardInternal Communication:•If majority (quorum) present then no discussion of Board matters;•Rolling Quorum: Discussions of public business among a majority of board members, regardless if they are physically present at the same place and time.
