RE:Record of Tree Credits Required for Tree Removal-Native Growth Protection Area East of NE 7th St,
Renton,WA 98059
This letter serves as a supplemental document to an arborist report and tree risk assessment submitted
to the client by Davey Resource Group (DRG)on September 18th,2023.On July 7th,2023,DRG provided
an ISA Certified Arborist (NE-6913A)and Qualified Tree Risk Assessor to conduct a Level 1 Tree Risk
Assessment for all trees in the Native Growth Protection Area (NGPA)that are within striking distance of
the homes.The conclusion of the risk assessment showed that two (2)trees were at a moderate risk of
failure,and ten (10)trees were at a high risk of failure.The removal of these twelve (12)trees was
recommended as the best course of action.

The City of Renton requires that any trees retained following the recommended removals meet
minimum tree credit requirements.Per RMC 4-4-130,a minimum of thirty (30)tree credits are required
per net acre.The tree risk assessment area was divided over two parcels:Parcel ID 6403500650 with an
area of 0.86 acres and Parcel ID 894641TR-D with an area of 0.40 acres.With both parcels smaller than
an acre,any trees retained following the recommended removals must meet a minimum of thirty (30)
tree credits per parcel.
On January 26th,2024,DRG provided an ISA Certified Arborist (PN-9382A)to verify that minimum tree
credit requirements would be met following the proposed removals.Inventorying the trees proposed
for retention,53 tree credits,at a minimum,were documented within Parcel ID 6403500650,and 49
tree credits,at a minimum,were documented within Parcel ID 894641TR-D (see enclosure).As such,
trees proposed for retention within both parcels exceed minimum tree credit requirements.Attached to
this letter are the City of Renton Tree Credit Worksheets as well as the ISA Basic Tree Risk Assessment
Forms for the trees recommended for removal.
