NOTICE TO BIDDERS OF PROJECT NO. 2017 035
RENTON CITY HALL ELEVATOR MODERNIZATION
CITY OF RENTON
BIDS DUE FEBRUARY 1, 2018 PRIOR TO 10:00 A.M.
This addendum shall become part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original
Bidding Documents for Project No. 2017 035, City of Renton: RENTON CITY HALL
ELEVATOR MODERNIZATION. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum by number
in the space provided on the Bid Form, Page 2. Failure to do so may subject the Bidder
to disqualification.
Please incorporate the following revisions to the Specifications and Contract Drawings:

CHANGES TO SPECIFICATIONS:
AS3.0 Section 00 0200 SYNOPSIS OF BIDDING INFORMATION
a. REVISE First line of E BIDS DUE to read as follows:
“Thursday, February 1, 2018, 10:00 a.m.”
AS3.1 Section 00 0200 SYNOPSIS OF BIDDING INFORMATION
a. REVISE F NOTICE TO PROCEED to read as follows:
“Approximately February 8, 2018”
AS3.2 Section 00 0200 SYNOPSIS OF BIDDING INFORMATION
a. REVISE TIME OF CONSTRUCTION to read as follows:
“Seven Hundred Eighty (780) calendar days. Substantial completion is expected
by Friday, March 13, 2020 if NTP is January 23, 2018.”
AS3.3 Section 00 0300 CALL FOR BIDS
a. REVISE First sentence of this section to read as follows:
“Sealed bids will be received until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the
City Clerk’s office, 7th floor, and will be opened and publicly read in the sixth
floor conference room, #621, of Renton City Hall, 1055 South Grady Way,
Renton, WA 98057, for the City of Renton, City Hall Elevator Modernization
Project, located at 1055 South Grady Way Renton, WA 98057. Bids received
after the specified date and time will not be considered.”

BIDDER QUESTIONS
Following is a list of questions/clarifications asked by bidders (Q) and answers that
were provided (A). The answers and/or clarifications provided here are to be
considered as part of the bidding contract:
Q. Can Contractor provide Torin AC Gearless Hoist Machines for this project
as an approved equal? TMGL1-2535 Series Machine application would be for
the 2500 lb / 350 FPM Cars. TMGL2 – 3535 Series Machine application would
be for the one larger 3500 lb / 350 FPM Car.
A. Proposed manufacturer and machines are acceptable alternates. Contractors may
bid with this equipment.
Q. Can Contractor provide using EC Pixel Controllers for this project as an
approved equal?
A. Proposed manufacturer and controller is an acceptable alternate. Contractors may
bid with this equipment.
