CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER AGREEMENT
CONTRACT: CAG-14-090 SW 7th St/ Naches Ave SW Storm System Improvement C.O.# 4
Project— Phase 1
CONTRACTOR: Road Construction Northwest, Inc.
SUMMARY OF PROPOSED CHANGE:
C04A PSE Power Extension Force Account
Complete installation of a new power system by Puget Sound Energy(PSE)to provide power for the new
irrigation controller and irrigation system. All materials, equipment, and labor are included. Puget Sound
Energy costs are preliminary estimates and may change when the work is ordered and performed by PSE.
Depending on conditions some of the subtasks may not be needed. In that case payment for those subtasks
would be zero. Payment for subtasks will be prorated for the actual work needed.
The costs estimates for this changer order are per the attached March 11, 2014 letter from Road Construction
Northwest. The costs include sales tax and contractor's mark up. The work includes but is not limited to the
following subtasks:
1. Installing anew power transformer and base on the west side of Naches Ave SW (PSE)
Estimated cost= $9,974.32
1.a Installing new handhold, if required, on west side of Naches Ave SW (PSE)
Estimated cost=$9,483.76
2. Installing new power lines from the PSE vault on the east side of Naches Ave SW, in the existing power
conduits under Naches Ave SW, to the new transformer on the west side of Naches Ave SW (PSE)
Estimated cost= $5,701.92
3. Locating and exposing the existing power conduits on the west side of Naches Ave SW. Verifying that
they are suitable for PSE use. Making any adjustments, or extending the conduits to the new
transformer location, if needed. (RCNW, Signature Landscaping, or PSE).
Estimated cost=$4,700.80
4. Installing two bollards in front of the new transformer, if required by PSE (RCNW, Signature
Landscaping).
Estimated cost= $1,307.34
5. Contractor supervision, coordination, and assistance for PSE and Signature Landscaping.
Estimated cost=$5,740.50
CO-4A -Total estimated costs for all CO-4A subtasks =$36,908.64
Requested Additional Working Days: 15 days
CO-4113 Install Irrigation Controller Cabinet and Connect Power Force Account
All work needed to install a new steel cabinet and base to house the irrigation controller and PSE power
meter, and to supply power to the irrigation controller from the new PSE transformer. All materials,
equipment, and labor are included. The costs are preliminary estimates and may change when the work is

1. Provide and install new steel irrigation controller cabinet and concrete base. The cabinet will be
locking,and will include a meter base and viewing window so the PSE power meter can be read.
Estimated cost=$3,008.36
2. Connect power to the new controller cabinet,including running the power lines from the PSE
transformer to the controller cabinet. Provide all electrical items needed inside and outside the
cabinet including conduits,electric panel,circuit breakers,an outlet to plug controller Into,and
connections needed for PSE power meter.
Estimated cost=$3,268.36
3. The costs for any State and City applications,permits,and inspections needed to install the new
cabinet and electrical system.
Estimated cost=$919.80
4. Installing the new irrigation controller(clock)in the cabinet and connecting the power and irrigation
system wiring to it. Test and troubleshoot the irrigation system so all water zones,valves,and
sprinklers are connected and functioning correctly.
Estimated cost=$840.08
5. Remove the existing steel service cabinet,remove concrete base,and plug all conduits,if required by
the City.
Estimated cost=$1,962.24
The costs for this changer order are per the attached March 11,2015 letter from Road Construction
Northwest. The costs include sales tax and contractor's mark up.

We are pleased to submit the requested contract change order for the complete installation of a new power
