HomeMy WebLinkAboutCM_Construction_Mitigation_Description_240205_v1 Public Works Department SE 172ND ST WATER QUALITY RETROFIT PROJECT Construction Mitigation Description Proposed Construction Dates: Proposed Construction Dates: November 1, 2024 – October 31, 2025 Hours and Days of Operation: Time of work allowed (unless authorized by the City of Renton) Monday – Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Transportation Routes: Transportation routes may vary depending on contractor preference, but vehicles will likely enter and leave the site from SE 172nd St, to 128th Ave SE, to SE Petrovitsky Rd. Measures to be implemented For more information regarding impacts due to the construction site please the SWPPP in the Drainage Report. Minimize Dust: -Remove particulate matter deposited on paved, public roads and sidewalks. Traffic and Transportation Impacts: -Flaggers will be used to ensure flow of traffic along SE 172nd St, 122nd Ave SE, 123rd Ave SE, 124th Ave SE, and 125th Ave SE. Erosion: -All debris and spill material would be transported off-site to an appropriate disposal facility. -Erosion Control measures could include use of silt fencing, catch basin inlet protection, stabilized construction entrance, and other measures as specified in the SWPP. Mud: -Remove particulate matter deposited on paved, public roads and sidewalks to reduce mud and dust; sweep and wash streets frequently. Noise: -Construction work will be limited to typical work day and week hours. Nighttime and weekend work is not anticipated and would require approval from the City of Renton. Any Special Hours Proposed: At this time there are no special hours proposed for construction. Preliminary Traffic Control Plan: The contractor will provide a Traffic Control Plan to by reviewed and approved by the City Transportation Department prior to the beginning of construction. The Traffic Control Plan will adhere to City standards and ensure that flaggers and appropriate signage is implemented. Access to properties in project vicinity will be maintained throughout the project. If access is not permitted due to construction activities property owners will be notified.
