I would like to recommend that you approve another term for Marlene Winter to serve as a commissioner for the
Renton Park Board. She has proven to be a great advocate for the City and brings a lot to the overall operations of the
group. I appreciate her dedication and her willingness to learn more about what we can offer and provide for not only
people living in Renton today but future generations who will benefit from parks, trails and recreational
opportunities. Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi Terry-- I have so enjoyed my time on the Park Board--
getting to know such dedicated people and learning more
about the city I love and our unmatched parks and nature
trails. So thank you for selecting me. I would be glad to
continue on the board, however, I feel a little out of my
element-- having served in Human Resource Management
for 40 years and being somewhat isolated in
Kennydale. Looking at someone like Larry who adds so
much expertise, Cynthia who is an important voice for
People of Color, Alan Dieckman who is deep in knowledge
of every Renton park, I question if you could find someone
who adds more value than I. I had mentioned Rudy Case--
but understand the woman issue. I was thinking of joining
Renton Trails and I could go to a meeting a scope folks out
to see if there is a woman with a good perspective in their
mix. So far all I have met are male members.
I am a good voice for dog issues and trying to take a
balanced approach and hold back my passions. I do visit
the Cedar River trail often either on foot or bike and do my

best to pick up dog waste and human litter, sadly, found
there.
So in summary, if you would like me to continue I would
be honored to do so. If you have a candidate with broader
view I would be fine with that and no offense taken. This
, ,
is the recruiter in me-- always trying to find the strongest
contributors.
Lastly I have to say you are such a treasure to Renton.
Ter for Ma or?? I could get behind that!

Subject: Park Board term
It is hard to believe that your term as Park Commissioner ends on June ls`. I wanted to make sure you wished to
continue on the board before I sent a letter to the Mayor. T'he reappointment would go through the Council
process as a consent item. Thank you for all you have given to the Community Services Department and the
City. Let me know what you would like to do. Thanks

I would like to recommend that Tim Searing serve another term as a commissioner for the Renton Park Board. We have
been very fortunate to have his historical expertise and his commitment to making sure we offer quality services in our
residents. Tim recently served as a budget liaison to the Board during the 2013-2014 process. He was able help all of
our members have a better understanding of how the budget worked and where we could made sound fiscal changes to
better serve the pubiic. He is always willing to do more than the monthly meetings. Let me know if you have any
questions.
