Seattle International Film Festival Brings One Day
Crash Cinema Challenge to Renton on April 26
Get ready for the Seattle International Film Festival’s Crash Cinema, a free 8-hour filmmaking
challenge, to be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 26.
Open to filmmakers of all ages throughout the Puget Sound region, the Renton – SIFF Crash
Cinema is all about having fun in taking a concept to a three-minute movie to a screening at the
Renton Civic Theatre - all in one day. There is no cost to participate and no cost to watch the
final screening.
Filmmakers must provide all of their own equipment. The script is developed on the spot by a
Crash team (usually 3-6 people) and filmmakers design their story based on the team’s
resources and the special Crash challenge elements. All films must be family-friendly.
SIFF Crash Cinema is a bi-monthly and non-competitive challenge for filmmakers of all ages.
