The following briefly describes the application and the necessary Public Approvals. DATE OF RE-NOTICE OF APPLICATION: June 30, 2016 LAND USE NUMBER: LUA16-000425, ECF, SA-H, CU -H, MOD PROJECT NAME: Renton Commons PROJECT DESCRIPTION:The Low Income Housing Institute (LI HI ) is requ est ing Hearing Examiner Site Plan Rev iew, Hear ing Exam iner Con ditional Use Permit, Environmental 'S EPA' Rev iew, and three modiiications for the cons truction of a 6-story bu il ding con taining 48 affordable multi-family res idential units. The st ru cture would have an average height of 64 feet. The 0.32 acre site is located within the Center Downtown (CD) zoning classification on the west si de of Whitworth Ave 5 just north of 5 3rd St at 215 Whitworth Ave 5. Vehicular access to the site wou ld be provided via a si ngle en t ry point from Whitworth Ave 5. A tota l of 12 parking spaces would be provided w ithin the structure. A refuse and recycle modification, from RMC 4-4-090, is being requested in order to reduce the number of requi red deposit and collection points as well as the size requirements. A bicycle parking modification, from RMC 4-4-050, is being requ ested in order to reduce the number of required bicycle parking from 24 to 20 sta l ls. Finally, the app l icant i s reque sting a street modification, from RMC 4-6-060, in order to maintain the ex is ting 60-foot right-of-way, without dedica tion, and alter t he required street cross section. The site is l ocated within a Sei smic Hazard A rea. There appears to be no other critical areas located on site. PROJECT LOCATION: 215 Whitworth Ave 5 OPTIONAL DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE, MITIGATED (DNS-M): As the Lead Agency, the City of Renton has determi ned that significant environmental impacts are unl i kely to result from the proposed project. Therefore, as permitted under the RCW 43.21C.110, the City o f Renton is using t he Optiona l DNS -M process to give notice that a DNS-M is likely to be issued. Co mment periods for the project and the proposed DNS-M are integrated into a single comment pe ri od. There will be no comment period following the issuance of the Threshold Determ ination of Non- Significance-M it igated (DNS -M). This may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal. A 14-day appeal period will follow the issuance of the DNS -M. The subject site is designated COMP-CMU on the City of Renton Comprehensive Land Use Map and CD, DESIGN-A on the City's Zoning Map. Environmental (SEPA) Checklist The project will be subject to the City's SEPA ordinance, RMC 4-2-120A, RMC4- 3-100, RMC 4-4, RMC4-9 and other applicable codes and re gulations as appropriate. The following Mitigation Measures will likely be imposed on the proposed project. These recommended Mitigation Measures address project impacts not covered by existing codes and regulations as cited above. • Geotechnical recommendations, included in the provided report, shall be followed. Comments on the above application must be submitted in writing to Rocale Timmons, Senior Planner, CED -Planning Division, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, WA 98057, by 5:00 PM on July 14, 2016. DATE OF NOTICE OF APPLICATION : February 15, 2017 PROJECT NAME/NUMBER: Verizon Boeing COW/ LUA 17 -000063 PROJECT DESCRIPTION : The applicant is requesting a Tier 2 Temporary Use Permit to install a Verizon Cellular Tower on Wheels (COW), pursuant to Renton Municipal Code Section 4-9-240, on Boeing's property located at 737 Lo ga n Av e, The COW would be located at the NW corner of the Medical Center building and will occupy two parkin g spaces , The COW will be caged for se curity and the base will be approximately 10' x 25 ' in size. The COW mast will hold two antennas and a microwave di sh and will stand approximately 40 feet tall. No ground di sturbance will be ass ociated with th e COW. The applicant expects the COW to be in place for approximately six months, followed by complete removal wh en the permanent, small-cell syst em is in pla ce on Boeing's property.
