EE66075 CASE# 24-3555 OF COLLISION 04/02/24 11:22 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE 24-3555 Unless otherwise noted, the following occurred within the city limits of Renton, county of King, state of Washington. On 04/02/2024, 1 was working as a uniformed police officer for the city of Renton. At approximately 1125 hours, I was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injury, located near the intersection of Oakesdale Ave SW and SW 16th St. My involvement in the incident was captured on my department- issued Axon body-worn camera. While enroute to the location, dispatched relayed that the reporting party stated that one of the drivers involved was possibly having a seizure and had a large laceration on his head. When I arrived on scene, Renton Regional Fire Authority (RRFA) had already arrived and was talking to the driver of unit 1, identified as Jordan M Sueko (08/02/1990-WADOL photo). Unit 1 was a 2016 Mazda 3, WA lic/BTR4792, VIN/JM1 BM1T70G1279241. Unit 1 was perpendicular to the roadway, facing westbound. It had heavy front-end damage to include the hood being completely torn off the vehicle, and the front-end protruding in towards the cab of the vehicle significantly. Jordan did not have a laceration on his head as the dispatch notes provided. RRFA informed me that Jordan only complained of chest pains and a possible seizure. After initial treatment with RRFA, I spoke to Jordan, who primarily speaks French, through Language Line Solutions. Jordan stated that he did not remember nearly anything prior to the collision. He did not remember striking unit 2, nor the barrier. It should be noted that Jordan did however believe that he was traveling southbound on Oakesdale prior to the collision. However, the damage on both involved vehicles is not consistent with this account of the story. There were also visible tire markings on the elevated curb on the east side of the road. Jordan clearly seemed very disoriented as a result of the collision, but he did not exhibit any signs of impairment, or being under the influence of any substance. It seems as though he was going through a medical episode at the time of the collision. I also spoke with Richard A Chinault (09/06/1966-WADOL photo), who was the driver of unit 2, a 2006 Mitsubishi 84D box truck, WA lic/C63741Y, VIN/JL6BBE1S26K002076. Richard relayed the following: He was traveling southbound on Oakesdale Ave SW. He was stopped in the left turn lane in order to turn east into the business complex that is located just northeast of the intersection of Oakesdale and SW 16th St. While waiting to turn, his vehicle was struck by unit 1 in the back corner of the driver's side. Richard was not concerned about retrieving information for the damages from Jordan, but was more so concerned for Jordan's well-being. I provided Richard a copy of my business card, with the case number inscribed on the back of it. Tri-Med arrived on scene and transported Jordan to a local hospital. Gene Meyer also arrived on scene and towed unit 1 off the roadway. Considering the damage to both vehicles, the story given by both parties, as well as the tire markings on the elevated curb, it can be reasonably inferred that unit 1 was traveling northbound on Oakesdale. Unit 1 then moved up onto the curb, colliding with the jersey barrier, which then redirected the vehicle to the west, where it struck unit 2, before coming to a final resting place in the jersey barrier of the west end of the roadway. While creating a diagram on SECTOR for this collision, I was unable to remove some of the pre- existing vehicles from the provided satellite image. The only involved vehicles in this collision are the ones that are artificially labeled 1" and "2" in red text.
