RE: Insufficiency of Signatures – City of Renton Initiative Measure No. 23-02
Dear Jason Seth:
King County Elections has completed verification of the signatures submitted to our office for
City of Renton Initiative Measure No. 23-02 and determined the petition to be insufficient per
Renton Municipal Code, Title 1, Chapter 2, Section 1-2-2.
Of the 15,467 signatures submitted that were compared against those on file with our office, it
was determined that only 8,747 were valid registered voters. Per Renton Municipal Code,
Title 1, Chapter 2, Section 1-2-2, 8,913 signatures are required; therefore, the petition is
insufficient.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly or my staff.
Sincerely,
Julie Wise
