Good morning Jason,
Thank you for your email. The resolution deadline is Tuesday, August 1, 4:30 pm. The key
takeaway would be any additional signatures would be too late and the initiative would not be on
the November general election ballot because it would miss the resolution filing deadline.
Guidance for the petitioner on the 10 days should be determined by your office or your legal
counsel.
Kind regards,
Angie

Hi Angela,

Hi Jason,
We’ve completed verification of the signatures submitted to our office for City of Renton Initiative Measure
No. 23-01 petition. Of the signatures that were compared against those on file with our office, it was
determined that the required number of 8,913 was not determined to be registered voters. Therefore, it is
determined that the petition is insufficient. The letter of insufficiency is attached.
Please note that Tuesday, August 1, 2023, is the deadline to place measures on the ballot for the
November 7, 2023, General Election.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Angela
