Good afternoon Jason,
The letter of insufficiency for the City of Renton Initiative Measure No. 23-01 is attached. Please
note 1,081 signatures were submitted with the supplemental pages on August 4, 2023. The
number of additional signatures submitted was less than the additional 2,226 valid signatures
needed to meet the required 8,913 valid signatures. Therefore, it has been determined that the
petition is insufficient.
Also, the petition is ready to be returned to the City of Renton. If you could let me know when
the petition will be picked up approximately that will be helpful.

Hi Jason,
We’ve completed verification of the signatures submitted to our office for City of Renton Initiative Measure
No. 23-01 petition. Of the signatures that were compared against those on file with our office, it was
determined that the required number of 8,913 was not determined to be registered voters. Therefore, it is
determined that the petition is insufficient. The letter of insufficiency is attached.

Please note that Tuesday, August 1, 2023, is the deadline to place measures on the ballot for the
November 7, 2023, General Election.
