Recommendation to Reappointment Members to e
Renton Human Services Advisory Committee
The Renton Human Services Advisory Committee currently has three positions scheduled to
expire December 31, 2022. One of these positions is currently vacant. We have worked with
the Communications Division to advertise the vacancy. Staff will conduct first review of the
applications as they are received but continue to accept applications through December 30,
unless a need arises to extend the deadline.
In addition to the vacancy, the two other positions, expiring December 31, 2022 have seated
Committee Members that are interested in being reappointed. Both are considered
members of good standing and served as a Human Services Advisory Committee Member for
one year. The Equity, Housing, and Human Services Department recommends
reappointment of these members to a three-year term expiring December 31, 2025.

Ms. Friedmann is an active participant on the Human Services Advisory Committee and in
the community working with at risk youth and young adults.

Mr. Barquet is a strong contributor to the Human Services Advisory Committee. He has been
a Real Estate Mortgage professional and resident in the Renton community for 5 years. He is
aware of the needs of Renton residents and throughout his career has worked with a diverse
group of people.
