NARRATIVE
ASSIGNMENT/ARRIVAL
On 09/29/2023 at approximately 2142 hours, I was dispatched to a two vehicle collision at the
intersection of Sunset Boulevard NE and the on-ramp to northbound 1-405 in the city of Renton, King
County, Washington.
I arrived at approximately 2144 hours.
UNIT 1: TOYOTA PRIUS
Upon arrival I observed a silver Toyota Prius (WA/ BUB0631, Unit 1) stopped facing north in the
intersection. Unit 1 had moderate front end damage from the collision. Unit 1's front end was engaged
with Unit 2s driver door.
DRIVER 1: FARAH, ABDINASIR A.
I contacted Abdinasir A. Farah (DOB: 04/26/2004) standing near Unit 1. 1 identified Farah by his valid
Washington Driver License. I established Farah as the driver of Unit 1 by his admission.
Farah had a laceration to his forehead from the collision. Farah was evaluated on scene by the
Renton Fire Authority.
UNIT 2: GMC SIERRA
I observed a red GMC Sierra (WA/C84037W, Unit 2) stopped facing southwest in the southbound
lane of Sunset Boulevard NE. Unit 2 had moderate damage to the front driver side. Unit 2's driver
door was engaged with Unit 1's front end.
DRIVER 2: SOTO, ALONDRA
I contacted Alondra Soto (DOB: 04/02/2002) sitting in the driver seat of Unit 2. 1 identified Soto by her
valid Washington Driver License. I established Soto as the driver of Unit 2 by her admission.
Soto complained of pain to her left shoulder from the collision. Soto was evaluated on scene by the
Renton Fire Authority.
PASSENGER
I contacted Victor H. Lujan Flores (DOB: 04/26/1996) sitting in the front passenger seat of Unit 2. 1
identified Victor by his Washington Driver License.
Victor complained of chest pain from the collision. Victor also had chest pain prior to the collision and
was being driven to the hospital at the time of the incident. Victor was evaluated on scene by the
Renton Fire Authority.
STATEMENT: DRIVER 1
Officer D. Nelson spoke with Farah about the collision. The following is a summary of what Officer
Nelson told me:
Farah drove Unit 1 northeast on Sunset Boulevard NE toward the northbound 1-405 on-ramp. Farah
intended to turn left (north) onto 1-405.
Farah stopped at the intersection and looked right (east) for on-coming vehicles but did not see any.
Farah accelerated into the intersection. Unit 1 was suddenly struck by Unit 2. Farah did not see Unit 2
prior to the collision.
STATEMENT: DRIVER 2
1 spoke with Soto about the collision. The following is a summary of our conversation:
Soto drove Unit 2 southeast on Sunset Boulevard NE. Soto was driving Victor to Valley Medical
Center for pain in his chest.
Soto saw Unit 1 turn into the intersection from the northbound lanes of Sunset Boulevard NE. Soto
was unable to avoid a collision. Unit 1's front end collided with Unit 2s front driver side.
This concluded my conversation with Soto.
