AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT FOR: LEGAL SERVICES
CAG-24-092
THIS AMENDMENT, dated for reference purposes on ly as April 24, 2024, is by and between the
City of Renton (the "City"), a Wash i ngton municipal corporation, and Perkins Coie LLP
("Consu ltant"), a Washington Limited Partnership. The City and the Consu ltant are referred to
collect ive ly in this Amendment as the "Parties." Once ful ly executed by the Pa r ties, this
Amendment is effect ive as of the last date s igned by both pa rties.
Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant unde r Agreement CAG-24-092, dated
March 27, 2024, to provide necessary legal services including but no t limited to claim review and
litigation related to CAG-20-001 Wells and Williams Construction for the (referred to herein as
the "Agreement");
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the compensation in order to
provide for sub-consu ltants hired by Consultant.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-24-092 is amended as follows:
1.Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work for additional Sub
consultant as specified in Exhibit A-1 which is attached and provided for reference.
2.Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $30,000.00 from $35,000 to $65,000,
plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid
based upon Work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in
Exhibit A-1 which is attached and provided for reference.
3.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have voluntarily entered into this Amendment as of the date
last signed by the Parties below.
