THE TRUSS MANUFACTURER SHALL DESIGN THE TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT TRUSS BRACES IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE 2013 EDITION OF THE BUILDING COMPONENT SAFETY INFORMATION (BCSI), CASES BCSI-B2 AND BCSI-B3,
RESPECTIVELY. DESIGN OF THE TRUSSES AND BRACES SHALL BE COMPLETED AND SEALED BY A REGISTERED
PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER.
THE TRUSS MANUFACTURER SHALL COORDINATE LOCATIONS AND SUPPORT CONFIGURATIONS OF PLUMBING,
MECHANICAL UNITS, DUCTS, AND/OR OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS WITH THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO TRUSS

CALCULATIONS SHALL BE PROVIDED AS A DEFERRED SUBMITTAL TO THE ARCHITECT AND STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
PER GENERAL STRUCTURAL NOTES. SHOP DRAWINGS SHALL INDICATE SHAPES, BEARING POINTS,
INTERSECTIONS, HIPS, VALLEYS, ETC. EXACT COMPOSITION OF SPECIAL HIP, VALLEY AND INTERSECTION AREAS
(USE OF GIRDER TRUSSES, JACK TRUSSES, STEP-DOWN TRUSSES, ETC.) SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE
MANUFACTURER UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON THE DRAWINGS. THE TRUSS MANUFACTURER SHALL PROVIDE
ALL TRUSS-TO-TRUSS AND TRUSS-TO-BEAM/JOIST CONNECTION DETAILS AND REQUIRED CONNECTION MATERIALS.
THE TRUSS MANUFACTURER SHALL DESIGN AND PROVIDE DETAILS FOR ALL TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT TRUSS
BRACING AND BRIDGING.
ALL TIMBER CONNECTORS IN CONTACT WITH PRESSURE-TREATED WOOD THAT USES PRESERVATIVE CHEMICALS
SHALL BE MANUFACTURED FROM ZMAX STEEL BY SIMPSON (G185 STEEL PER ASTM A653), OR TYPE 304 OR 316
STAINLESS STEEL. ALTERNATIVELY, CONNECTORS CAN BE POST HOT DIP GALVANIZED PER ASTM A123 OR
MECHANICALLY GALVANIZED PER ASTM B695, CLASS 55 OR GREATER. STAINLESS STEEL FASTENERS SHALL BE
USED WITH STAINLESS STEEL CONNECTORS, AND HOT DIP GALVANIZED FASTENERS PER ASTM A153 SHALL BE
