New Life Church Office Building, LUA23-000330, ECF, CUP-H, SA-H, V-H
Dear Mr. Kay:
The Planning Division of the City of Renton accepted the above master application for review on November 30,
2023. During review of the submitted project documents, staff has determined that additional information is
needed in order to proceed with review of the application. Specifically, the applicant shall address the following:
1. The geotechnical report references the original addition project proposed during the first preapplication
and not the new building proposed as part of the current scope. The report needs to be updated to
accurately reflect the scope of the project.
2. The Critical Areas Report references the original addition project proposed during the first preapplication
and not the new building proposed as part of the current scope
3. The modification request for SR 169 references a request for no frontage improvements or
undergrounding, however the civil plans show differently. Please clarify. In addition, please note that the
city will likely support the modified improvements shown in the civil plans, but will not support no
improvements, and undergrounding will be required.
4. Please provide additional information regarding how the church will control traffic during special events,
in addition to how adequate parking will be provided considering the loss of parking stalls associated
with the project.
At this time, your project has been placed “on hold” pending receipt of the updated project documents identified
above and in the attached memo. The maximum time for resubmittal shall be within 90 days of this notice, unless
an extension is approved by the Current Planning Project Manager. Please contact me at (425) 430-7219 if you

Staff has received your updated documents and will proceed with review of the project. The Environmental
Review Committee (ERC) meeting has been tentatively scheduled for Monday, May 13th, 2024. The Hearing
Examiner Public Hearing has been tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 11:00am.
At this time, your project has been placed “off hold”. Please contact me at (425) 430-7219 if you have any
questions.
