The appeal period for the permit ended on October 7, 2009 and no appeals were filed. As stated in the permit conditions, you are required to: The applicant shall submit a landscape plop for the 5 ft wide strip in front 'of the fence for approval by the Planning Division Project Manager. The applicant must install the required landscaping within 90 days of granting the fence permit. Please contact the Planning Division Project Manager by December 22, 2009 to schedule an inspection. The fence would be made of cedar planking with caps on top of each post. The fence would be located in three separate sections. Going from north to south, the first section on proposed Lot 5 of the Langley Meadows Subdivision,(LUA08-056) would have 96 feet of six- foot high fence that would slope in an eight -foot transitional segment to a four -foot fence. After the transitional area, there would be a 15 -foot segment of four -foot high fence. The second section of fence on Lot 70 would have a 15 -foot long, four -foot high fence that would slope up to a six-foot fence in an eight -foot transitional area. A 72 -foot long segment of fence would connect to the transitional segment. The third section of fence would be located on Lot 1 and would be six -feet high the entire segment. All of the fence segments will be set back five feet from the property line. The submitted landscape plan for (LUA08-056) proposes landscaping on a planting strip within the right-of-way along Hoquiam Avenue NE, but does not propose any landscaping in front of the fence.
