The letter placed a hold on the processing of the Renton permits based upon additional information WSDOT provided on January 29, 2018, regarding a 6,319 square foot temporary construction access road located west of 1-405 and south of May Creek. In addition to a temporary construction easement, WSDOT would be doing post -construction restoration and the relocation of a private sanitary sewer connection. The City has requested that WSDOT provide the following information for the proposed work within the regulated shoreline and critical areas as conditions of permit approval: • Updated project narrative • Arborist report • Tree retention plan • Preliminary mitigation plan • Utility plan Attachments 2, 3, and 5 to this letter highlight the temporary construction easement (TCE) area. This area is consistent with the temporary construction area shown on the original Shoreline and Critical Areas permit applications. The arborist report will be prepared by the Design Builder once they have been selected, consistent with the description provided in the original application and with our pre - submittal coordination. However, Attachment 4 provides an initial sketch of where trees will likely be replaced within the TCE. Attachment 6 includes updated plans for the May Creek riparian enhancement that was described in the original permits. Attachment 7 provides an updated project narrative to 1 include a description of access to May Creek based upon a draft Interlocal Agreement between WSDOT and the City of Renton (GCB 2890, December 28, 2017). Updates to the narrative regarding the temporary construction access road have been highlighted.
