PLANNING DIVISION

Alternative Siting Options Considered:
AT&T structure on the property to the east
Rooftops of structures on property to the east
Utility Poles
Relative to the AT&T structure, the location chosen is a better location for coverage and constructability.
The AT&T support structure does not offer the same height as the chosen rooftop, nor is there space for
collocation beneath the existing array.
The rooftop associated with the commercial structure on the adjacent property is not as tall as the
subject rooftop, and therefore would not provide as much coverage, as coverage is dependent on line‐
of‐site and avoidance of obstructions. The other buildings on the property contain residential uses, and
are less preferable than the office building chosen.
Utility poles in the area are technically infeasible due to the existing electrical configurations, and
provided less opportunity to install concealed ground equipment. The rooftop installation gives better
concealment, and for Verizon, more flexibility to install future upgrades and maintain the camouflaged
features of the facility.
There are no other towers or non‐residential structures that are suitable for collocation/attachment.
