PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION: The applicant has requested a Shoreline Exemption for
the installation of a patio using Uni Eco-Priora permeable pavers (Attachments A and B) in
place of the existing 700 square feet of yard area approximately 8 feet landward of the
Ordinary High Water Mark (OHWM) in association with an existing single family residence
(Attachment C). The site and adjacent properties are located along the shore of Lake
Washington in the Residential -8 dwelling units/acre (R-8) zone (Attachments D and E).
Duration of the patio installation is estimated to be within 14 days and would be completed
during the summer of 2011. The estimated cost and fair market value of the proposed
project is estimated to be approximately $5,500.00.

Dear Mr. Wasser:

We (David Reed and Joan Wu) would like to install a patio using Uni Eco-Priora
permeable pavers (spec sheet included in this package) in place of the existing gravel
currently covering 700 square feet of the yard area. The site is a 4,549 sq.ft. single-family
residential use parcel located at 3707 Lake Washington Blvd. N. (reference neighborhood
detail maps included in this package). The project will require a shoreline exemption. The
site and adjacent properties are zoned R-8 and located along the shoreline of Lake
Washington. The existing shoreline consists of a concrete bulkhead along the shoreline.
There will not be any change to the existing use of the property. The scope of the project
entails construction of seven hundred (700) sq ft or patio replacing gravel covering the
existing space. The time to complete the construction of the patio is five ( 5) to ten ( 10)
days. The cost of the patio project is $5,500.00.

Eco-PrPora™ ____ _
With its unique, patented interlocking spacer lugs, Eco-Priora provides
secure structural performance for permeable interlocking concrete
pavements (PI CP 's). It works well under vehicular traffi c, especially when
compared to other •non-interlocking' permeable pavers.
The flat , durable surface is also well s uited for pedestrian pavements und
the narrow joints comply w ith the most recent requirements or the ADA
(Americans with Disabilities Act).
