RENTON VILLAGE PL & 707 S GRADY WAY #4) 3715 EAST VALLEY ROAD DATE OF EXPIRATION: October 9, 2012 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant proposes using one mobile food vending unit at multiple locations around the city center area on varied days. For all locations the vending unit is pulled by a van or truck and would be set-up to offer walk-up food service. Food service will be generally provided daily between the hours of 6:30 am and 2:00 pm. For Location #1 (618 Park Ave N) along Park Avenue consists of two properties (PIDs 0823059030 & 0823059127) where there is currently an automobile repair shop in the northern section and freestanding coffee stand in the southern section of the properties. The applicant proposes parking the mobile cart in open and unused parking stalls while keeping available other currently unused parking stalls for drive-up clients or employees. For Location #2 (350 Sunset Blvd N), the applicant proposes to locate a mobile cart in the parking area of a shopping center (PID 172305-9150) where one drive-thru espresso stand is currently located and operated. South of the espresso stand are two vehicle parking areas, one area adjacent the stand and the other parking area at the southern edge of the parcel. The applicant proposes locating the mobile cart in the parking spaces adjacent the espresso stand to the east, on the opposite side of the drive-up window for the espresso business. Parking stalls at the southern edge of the site will be available for clients and employees. For Location #3 (555 S Renton Village PI & 707 S Grady Way) at Triton Towers One and Triton Towers Three, the applicant proposes to locate a mobile cart in the parking area of the office park where vehicular parking is provided to employees and visitors and as approved by the on- site property management corporation. The applicant proposes locating the mobile cart in a parking area to the southeast of the Triton Towers Three building and to the northeast of the Triton Towers One building. For Location #4 (3715 East Valley Road) at Downtown Harley-Davidson Renton, the applicant proposes to locate a mobile cart in the dealership parking area (PID 125360-0020) next to East Valley Road where vehicular parking is provided to employees and customers and as approved by the dealership. The applicant proposes locating the mobile cart to the north east of the dealership building and the south eastern portion of the large open parking lot along East Valley Road. The following Tier 1 Temporary Use Permit is hereby approved and subject to the following conditions: CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: 1) A City of Renton Business license must be obtained prior to operation. City of Renton Department of l nunity & Economic Development A .nistrative Temporary Use Permit Bistro Box: Mobile Food Vendor Temporary Use Permit LUAll-DBD, TP DATE OF PERMIT: October 5, 2011 (Revised July 6, 2012) Page 3 of 4 2) All requirements, standards, and permits required of the Seattle -King County Public Health Department must be met and approved prior to operation. 3) The mobile food vending unit, or Bistro Box, cannot stay at the locations permanently and must move daily from the property between 12:00 am (midnight) and 5:00 am, except for a special event where the unit is allowed at the same location for up to 72 hours. 4) The site occupied by the temporary use shall be left free of debris, litter, or other evidence of the temporary use upon campletion of removal of the use or when the operation of the use ceases to exist. 5) The site occupied by the temporary use shall be restored to the original condition when the use ceases to exist including restoration of site elements such as, but not limited to, landscaping and parking stall striping. 6) For Location #2 at 350 Sunset Boulevard North (PIO 172305-9150): a. The drive-thru lane for the existing caffee/espresso business shall be kept clear for vehicles to properly pass through the lot. b. Pedestrian safety shall be provided for clients of the mobile cart to be buffered from vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot. 7) This permit expires October 9, 2012. They will service the tenants breakfast and lunch needs at Triton Towers One on Monday's between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 3 :00 p.m. The Bistro Box will service the tenants breakfast and lunch needs at Triton Towers three on Thursday's between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The mobile food truck will not be parking in either parking lot overnight.
