HomeMy WebLinkAboutAddendum - 1AMENDMENT NO. _1_ TO AGREEMENT FOR CAG-23-311 THIS AMENDMENT, dated for reference purposes only as July 15, 2024, is by and between the City of Renton (the “City”), a Washington municipal corporation, and Fresh Family LLC Trucking dba Fresh Family (“Consultant”), a Washington State Limited Liability Company. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the “Parties.” Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties. Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-23-311, dated July 18, 2023, to provide cleaning services for the Renton Downtown Business District (DBD) (referred to herein as the “Agreement”); Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to extend the time for performance, and increase the compensation in order to extend the contract through the end of the year. NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-23-311 is amended as follows: 1.Time of Performance: Section 3, Time of Performance, is amended pursuant to the schedule(s) set forth in Exhibit A-1. All Work shall be performed by no later than December 31, 2024. 2. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $62,500 from $216,000 to $278,500 plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid based upon Work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in Exhibit A-1, which is attached and incorporated herein. 3.Exhibit A-1, attached and incorporated herein, replaces Exhibit 1 to CAG 23-211 in its entirety. 4.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if fully set forth herein. This will adjust to four days a week for summer services, starting August 1 through October 15, (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday). We will also be available for on call services on additional days at the City of Renton’s request. Services Expected: According to the schedule above, we will provide services to clean sidewalks and alleyways, including but not limited to: •Sidewalk cleaning •Pressure washing •Graffiti removal •Litter removal •Hazmat removal •Seasonal services such as snow (weather permitting) and leaf removal. These services are outlined in detail in the submitted RFP bid form and updated for the revised scope below. Number of Personnel: We will employee 1-2 staff members to cover the Downtown Business District (DBD). 4 to 6 hours per workday depending on team size and remaining available service time allocable within the monthly maximum budget. Budget Allocation: We will continue to split the time allocations to provide the services most needed at that given time. We have found that there is a systematic way of completing this work that ensures a consistent and aesthetically pleasing curb appeal while maximizing time usage. Sidewalk/Gutter Sweeping $120 per hour per worker – Prevailing wage class “Clean-up Laborer” EXHIBIT A-1: Scope of Work Amend 1 to CAG 23-211 Sidewalk Pressure Washing: $300 per hour for the service – crew size dependent on service needs. – “Clean up Laborer” Trash Removal and Container Cleaning $120 per hour per worker – Prevailing wage class “hazardous worker C” Graffiti Removal $120 per hour per worker – Prevailing wage class “Clean Up Labor” Human Bio-waste Removal $120 per hour per worker – Prevailing wage class “hazardous worker C” Painting/touch-up/washing – Prevailing wage class “Painters” $120.00 per hour per worker for painting and touch-up services. Hours will be billed based on hours of service rendered, with monthly costs varying accordingly. The monthly service budget will not exceed $12,500.00 for the amended period from August 1st, 2024, to December 31st, 2024. Invoices will be issued at the end of each month, detailing the hours and types of services provided, along with a report of the work completed in the previous month.
