ED76221 CASE# 23-6916 OF COLLISION 06/18/23 02:00 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE 23-6916 On 06/18/2023 at approximately 0209 hours I was working as a Police Officer for the City of Renton. While working I was dispatched to a hit and run accident with injuries, located at the intersection of Bronson Way N/Factory Ave N. The notes of the call stated that the reporting party was hit by an unknown vehicle and that she was experiencing knee pain. I arrived on scene an met with the victims of the incident, Patrick D. Cleek (DOB: 06/21/1996), Katheryn K Thomas (DOB: 09/04/1983), and Kea W. King (DOB: 02/22/1986). Kea was the driver of the vehicle and Katheryn/Patrick were passengers of the vehicle. Kea's vehicle is a silver 2013 Dodge Durango (WA LIC: CBF0709). Kea and Patrick reported that they were not injured. Katheryn was reporting that her chest was in substantial pain and needed to be checked out by fire. Fire arrived and checked out all three occupants, all three were cleared. Kea's vehicle was totaled, the damage was much greater than $1,000 and made the vehicle inoperable. The entirety of the front end was damaged, and fluid was leaking from the vehicle. I asked Kea, Kathryn, and Patrick how the accident happened, and they reported the following: Kea was driving west bound on Bronson Way N approaching the intersection of Factory Ave N. Kea had a green light and continued through the intersection at approximately 25mph. As she crossed through the intersection a red ford sedan was seen proceeding south bound on Factory Ave N approaching a red light at the Bronson Way N intersection. The red Ford sedan then ran through the intersection at approximately 45mph and collided with Kea's vehicle. The Ford sedan remained at the scene shortly but then drove away at a high rate of speed. The red Ford Sedan was observed to have extensive front end damage. Kea believed that the vehicle would not make it very far because of the extensive damage. The red Ford was seen going south bound onto 1405 from the Maple Valley Y intersection. Officers performed an area check but could not locate the vehicle. Kea, Patrick, and Kathryn described the driver of the vehicle as a white male, short brown hair, heavier build, wearing a red sweatshirt. They also stated that a female was seated in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Officer Gall took photos of the accident and uploaded them to evidence.com Kea, Patrick, and Kathryn all stated that they would like to assist with prosecution in the incident. Patrick and Kathryn reported that they would be able to recognize the driver if they saw him again. Currently there is probable cause to arrest the driver of the red Ford for felony hit and run as Kathryn was suffering from a chest injury at the scene. There is no further information at this time. I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that the foregoing is true and correct. Electronically signed by J. Turner 12650 on 06/18/2023 at 0425 hours.
