ED88773 CASE# 23-9242 OF COLLISION 08/12/23 06:10 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE On 08/12/2023 at 0614 hours, I was in full patrol uniform and driving a marked Renton Police patrol vehicle when I was dispatched to SW 5th PL & SW 5th CT in the city of Renton, County of King, State of Washington regarding a hit & run collision. Upon arrival, I saw V1 -WA LIC# BSE6375 and V2 -WA LIC# CFF8324 parked on the city roadway on all four tires. Both vehicles were facing south on SW 5th PL on the west side of the street in front of 521 SW 5th St. V1 had major front-end damage and the front end was touching the rear end of V2. V1's steering wheel airbag had been deployed as well as both side curtain airbags. V1's hazard lights were on. V1 was unoccupied. V2 had major rear end damage where V1 struck it. V2 was unoccupied. It's rear right wheel was resting on the sidewalk. I saw scrape marks on the sidewalk. It appeared V1 had driven into the back of V2 with such great force that it pushed V2 an approximate car length down the sidewalk. I spoke with Ebrima Jallow (DOB 11/12/1975, phone 360 206-1599). Jallow told me he was currently renting V2 from Hertz Rental Cars. On 08/12/2023 at 0205 hours, he parked the vehicle on SW 5th PL in front of 521 SW 5th PL. At 0605 hours, his neighbor knocked on his door and told him of the damage to V2. Jallow said he went outside to see the damage and called 911 for assistance. He had no idea to the Suspect(s) identity and did not see anyone around the vehicle. V2 is a Tesla and has the capability to record its surrounding; however, Jallow turned the feature off because it uses a lot of battery power and he wanted to save power. There was no video of the incident. Jallow said he would work out the tow of the vehicle through private tow or Hertz. A record check of V1's license plate matched the vehicle VIN. The registered owner was Julius Rondave Jones (DOB 02/08/1995) with an address of 13445 MLK Jr Way S, Q206, Seattle, WA 98178. 1 checked Renton local records for Jones and did not find anything. There were no video cameras in the area. The Suspect driver of V1 is unknown. V1 was left at the scene because it was legally parked on the roadway. I did not see anything of evidentiary value inside or outside the vehicle. I took photographs of the scene and uploaded them to evidence.com under this case number.
