5.PRIOR TO INSTALLATION, ALL PLANT MATERIAL PROPOSED FOR USE ON THE PROJECT SHALL BE
APPROVED BY THE OWNER OR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY TO THE SITE
FOR CONFORMANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE PLANT SCHEDULE, NOTES , AND
STORAGE AND HANDLING REQUIREMENTS . CONTRACTOR IS TO PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF TWO
DAYS NOTICE PRIOR TO DELIVERY TO THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT. OWNER OR LANDSCAPE
ARCHITECT RETAINS THE RIGHT TO INSPECT TREES, SHRUBS, AND GROUNCOVER FOR
COMPLIANCE AT ANYTIME. SUBSTITUTUIONS OR CHANGES IN MATERIALS AND PLACEMENT
SHALL BE MADE ONLY WITH WRITTEN CHANGE ORDERS AS AGREED UPON BY THE CONTRACTOR,
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT , AND OWNER.
6. LAYOUT OF PLANT ING BEDS AND PLACEMENT OF TREES , SHRUBS , GROUNDCOVERS, SHAL L BE
APPROVED BY THE OWNER OR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
7. FOLLOWING INSTALLATION OF PLANT MATERIAL, MULCH ALL PLANTING BEDS AND TREE PITS
WITH APPROVED MEDIUM FINE BARK OR WOOD CHIP MULCH . TREE AND SHRUB AREAS SHALL
RECEIVE THREE (3) INCHES AND GROUNDCOVER AREAS SHALL RECEIVE TWO (2) INCHES OF
MULCH. FINELY GRADE MULCH AWAY FROM TREE TRUNKS AND SHRUB STEMS. DO NOT PLACE
MULCH DIRECTLY AGAINST TREE TRUNKS OR STEMS .
8. ALL PLANTING AREAS SHALL RECEIVE FULLY AUTOMATIC IRRIGAT ION SYSTEM UNTIL PLANTS
ARE ESTABLISHED. PROVIDE 100% COVERAGE TO ALL AREAS.
