This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized. * On 02.10.2024, at approximately 1719 hours, I was dispatched to a two-vehicle, unknown-if-injury, blocking collision in the intersection of SW 5th CT and Stevens Ave SW., in the City of Renton, WA, the County of King. I was assigned to uniformed marked patrol in the City of Renton, WA, the County of King. I was operating a fully marked Renton Police Tahoe #304, equipped with "POLICE" markings, overhead exterior lights, and audible siren. I was wearing my department-issued uniform, including a fully equipped duty belt, exterior ballistic vest with "POLICE" stenciled on the front and back and Renton Police badge affixed to the left breast. I was also wearing my department-issued jumpsuit with "POLICE" patches on both shoulders and across the rear shoulders. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person I was a police officer. I was assigned as 302. At the time of this incident, it was clear, the roadways were dry, and it was dark with the streetlights illuminated. The temperature was approximately 48 degrees. I arrived on scene at approximately 1724 hours and met with all involved parties, who confirmed they were not injured. Unit 01 was identified as a white in color Chevy Cruze bearing WA/BUB4355. Unit 01 had moderate damage to the front driver's side '/ panel and body of vehicle, but it was operable. Unit 01's driver was identified by her WADL as KING, MARY DENISE (DOB: 03.10.1964). KING matched the photo on her WADL and when asked what happened leading up to the collision, she said she was in her parked vehicle on the west side of Stevens Ave SW, facing S/B. KING wanted to enter Stevens Ave SW and travel southbound, and she states she looked in the roadway, believed it to be clear and proceeded to pull onto the roadway from her parked position. Unit 01 did not see Unit 02, who was traveling southbound on Stevens Ave SW, and collided with Unit 02. A WACIC/NCIC/DOL query on KING was clear and valid. Unit 02 was identified as a white in color Toyota Corolla bearing WA/BKG6064. Unit 02 had moderate damage to the entire passenger side body of the vehicle, but it was operable. Unit 02's driver was identified by his WADL as ONG, ORLANDO DAYOS (DOB: 10.14.1956). ONG stated he was traveling eastbound on SW Sunset Blvd, and took a right turn onto Stevens Ave SW. ONG was traveling southbound on Stevens Ave SW, when Unit 01 pulled out into the roadway from a parked position and struck his vehicle on the passenger side body. A WACIC/NCIC/DOL query on ONG revealed he was clear and valid. Unit 01's driver, KING, MARY DENISE (DOB: 03.10.1964) is the causing party in this collision by failing to yield the right of way to a motor vehicle. I issued KING SECTOR citation#: 4A0014432, for violation of RCW 46.61.180.1. The infraction will be mailed to KING via the courts, and she was advised of same. Both parties were given the exchange of information form and left the scene. No injuries were reported.
